Staunton country park

Staunton Country Park has just announced it's successful Round 2 bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for its £2.9M project - 'a Regency Landscape Revealed'.

This Georgian landscape sits alongside and is partly surrounded by Leigh Park - previously the largest housing estate in Europe.

Having co-authored the activity plan for this successful project (with Julia Holberry Associates), Chrissy's role here was to to set up and carry out a wide range programme of non-user consultation from the surrounding estates.  This include youth groups, arts charities, disability and age related groups, nursery schools and community centres.  The resulting Activity Plan aimed to push the boundaries of function within a peri-urban natural space, providing a heritage 'playground' for local communities. Some of our plans included creating wild-play for children and a community cafe and gallery in the disused Victorian stable block.
